One of the pillars of your cultural immersion will be the Spanish homestay experience. Living in a Spanish home offers the unique opportunity to build a relationship with a Spanish individual or family, to practice your language in a social setting, to try native cuisine, and to immerse yourself in the daily schedule and pace of life of a Sevillan household.

Visiting a Student or Receiving a Visitor
While abroad many students hope to receive a visitor, or similarly, friends and family members hope to visit a student. As you dream up a visit to Sevilla, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- While students are provided with a homestay experience, it should be noted that all visitors will need to book their own accommodations in Sevilla.
- When booking an accommodation, keep in mind that the international date format is day/month/year
- Recommended lodgings in Sevilla include:
- Hotels: Zenit, Monte Carmelo, Monte Triana, Pasarela, Alcantara, Adriano, NH Plaza de Armas
- Apartments: Sevilla Orange, AirB&B
- If you are planning a trip during Semana Santa or Feria, book your stay well in advance and be aware that tourism and normal city functions are much varied during these weeks
Per the student expectations on travel, visitors should plan their trip with the student academic schedule in mind to avoid conflicts with classes. See our calendars for upcoming academic terms.
